About the Role

As a security guard, your main task is to deliver safety to our customers. You do this, for example, in a monitoring center or at an access control point. As a security guard, you have greater authority than a regular guard and often work closely with our customers' staff on objects that are crucial to Sweden's security.

The work is independent and often feels free, but comes with great responsibility.

The tasks are highly varied, and as a security guard, you can work both indoors and outdoors, both during the day and at night. The length of shifts varies, but they are often scheduled in 12-hour shifts. Since we operate every day of the year, weekend work is also common.

You will, for example:

• Handle cases within your assignment area
• Ensure that no unauthorized persons have access to the objects
• Staff stationary objects as needed

This position is suitable for you who enjoy working with people and helping them in their daily lives. In this role, a good day is a calm day, but as a security guard, you must be prepared for situations to change quickly. If you want to be part of a close-knit team, this is the job for you.

Requirements

• You need to be a trained security guard with valid approval
• Have professional experience from the security industry
• Approved grades in Swedish and English from the first year of high school
• B driver's license
• Orderly finances

Meritorious if you

• have worked with similar tasks before
• if you have experience as an armed security guard

For employment within Securitas Sweden AB, you must have approved grades from the first year of high school in Swedish and English and be approved by the County Administrative Board for employment in an authorized security company according to the Act (1974:191) on security companies (the application is made by Securitas). Depending on the position, security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may also be relevant. To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements to be approved according to each regulation, a background check will be conducted. The assessment concerns compliance with the law, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and any vulnerabilities. Information obtained may come from yourself, open sources, or authorities. We apply a holistic assessment when evaluating suitability for each position.

Salary and employment conditions are based on the collective agreement between the employer organization Security Companies and the Swedish Transport Workers' Union.
